Just over one week remains to the launch of the Beach Volleyball World Championships Mazury 2013 in Stare Jablonki, Poland. Hence, it is high time to get to know pools division which was drawn in the host city. Two Polish pairs have been seeded with the highest numbers in the man’s tournament (Fijalek/Prudel) and woman’s as well (Brzostek/Kolosinska).

Stare Jablonki

Stare Jabłonki is a charming village which history dates back to the year 1584. The beauty of this place makes it known for its tourist assets from more than 100 years. This recognition is largely due to the Hotel Anders and all of his friends.

Stare Jabłonki are in the land of the Great Masurian Lakes, on the shores of Lake Szeląg Mały, about 10 km from Ostroda.

The unique beauty of this place is appreciated around the world. Here you can find many rare species of plants and animals that wallow in their natural environment. While hiking, you can come across the marmots, deer, beavers, eagles and cormorants.

There is also something for outdoor activities. Canoeists, rowers, cyclists, sailors and now – thanks to the efforts of the Hotel Anders – Beach Volleyball players, they feel at home here.

Object in Old Jabłonki is one of the few places in the world where all the necessary things are in a confined space. Courts, equipment, restaurants, accommodation and the main stadium located on the shores of Lake Szeląg Mały on the beach of the Anders Hotel.
