Dynamo met in final series Iskra Odintsovo. Dynamo lost second final match at home but after that in Odintsovo the team of D. Bangnoli acquired two victories and won the series 3:1.
Dynamo Moscow won the Russian Superleague title for the second time in the last three seasons. Recall last year team from Moscow, led by Vladimir Alekno lost in the final series with Kazan Dynamo-TTG.
"I am very happy that finally I will not have to play in final series decisive fifth match. In the previous four seasons this was a tradition," said S. Poltavkyi after the last final match.
For the time the result was good, because club wanted to reach the final. For me it was bad, I am not accustomed to losing. I have to admit that Russian league is stronger than I expected", said Giba, who still has contract with the Iskra.
Play-off fights were missing in Russian championship this season due to preparation of national team to World League and Olympic Games. After regular season first team with second qualified for finals, third and fourth has played for the bronze medal.
