In this round we had some eagerly awaited meetings. First of all, Jastrzebski Wegiel came to Belchatow to face Skra one time. That day Michal Winiarski came back to the team, although he did  not seem exactly recovered after this last injury. Also Mariusz Wlazly returned as an opposite, because of an absence of Alexander Atanasijevic. Without the responsibility of receiving, Wlazly was the best scorer of Belchatow (20 points). However, attack of Jastrzebie was more balanced and with help of Michal Lasko (14 points), Patryk Czarnowski (11 p.) and Michal Kubiak (15 p.) their team was able to beat Belchatow quickly. That means that Jastrzebski Wegiel won 100% matches with Skra so far, considering this season – two games in PlusLiga, one in Polish Cup.

PGE Skra Belchatow – Jastrzebski Wegiel 3:0 (22:25, 20:25, 26:28)
MVP: Damian Wojtaszek

Also Polish champion earned 3 points in this 14th round. They were playing with Delecta Bydgoszcz, who at that time was  the vice leader of PlusLiga and could be the favorite of this game. However, Resovia Rzeszow secured their victory pretty quickly. Every set was equal for a long time, and then Resovia was keeping more of their cold blood. Head coach Andrzej Kowal made some changes in his squad, by putting Maciej Dobrowolski instead of Lukas Tichacek and replacing Zbigniew Bartman (who could not play due to his health issues) with Jochen Schoeps. German opposite gained 18 points and Dobrowolski was chosen MVP. In Delecta Bydgoszcz, the best scorers were Stephane Antiga and Dawid Konarski (13 points each).

Asseco Resovia Rzeszow – Delecta Bydgoszcz 3:0 (25:23, 25:19, 25:23)

Surprisingly AZS Olsztyn won with the leader – Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle. That game was extremely hard for both teams. Five sets, of with four was finished beyond “normal” results made it a real war. Players of Zaksa Kedzierzyn lost their chances of winning tie break, when they was punished with two yellow cards (Antonin Rouzier and Felipe Fonteles). With loosing 2 points, Zaksa has only one point of average as a leader in PlusLiga. On the other side, Olsztyn needed that kind of victory like an air in order to get into play offs. The best scorer of AZS was Bartosz Krzysiek (29 p.) and in Kedzierzyn it was Rouzier (27 p.)

Indykpol AZS Olsztyn – Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle 3:2 (27:25, 29:31, 25:27, 25:22, 19:17)
MVP: Bartosz Krzysiek

The battle between AZS Politechnika Warszawa and Effector Kielce was also very long an tough. AZS was already in the lead 2:1, but then Effector showed a good game and they were able to make a tie break in which they won 15:13. Kielce had a greatly planned attack, because particular players scored 14 (Milosz Zniszczol), 13 (Adrian Staszewski, Armando Danger and Nikolay Penchev) and 11 points (Tomasz Jozefacki, Grzegorz Kokocinski), making their game perfectly balanced.
AZS, after great performance during the first part of this season, this time not did very well, but there were missing some of the crucial players such as Krzysztof Wierzbowski and Maciej Zajder.

However, Trefl Gdansk started to dominate at this point (third set won by them 25:10!) and finally they kept victory at home.
