French national team came to Poland to start new international season. Two sparing matches disclosed the power of both teams before the start of World League 2010.

First meeting was on pretty high level. Champions and vice-champions of Europe are preparing for World League which is starting in next week. From basic squad of France, Polish fans did not see Stephane Antiga and Pierre Pujol. However, Philippe Blain, French head coach took some more important players, such as Samica, Henno or Vadeleux. Daniel Castellani gave longer rest to Zagumny, Wlazly, Winiarski and few more players. Saturday’s match was long and hard. French players did well in service and attack. Antonin Rouzier confirmed his form. Polish team had great block, but also had some problems with reception. This weekend was a big chance to few young guys. Castellani gave a place on a court to (for example): Drzyzga, Mika, Klos, and first of all – Patryk Czarnowski, who had fantastic season in PlusLiga and he can be very useful for national team of Poland. On Saturday, Poland came in with more experienced squad and it helped to win this game 3:2. Sunday was more experimental. With Lomacz, Klos or Wisniewski, Poland lost first and second set. Castellani made some changes – we saw Czarnowski, Drzyzga and Ruciak (for Bartman) in third set. This part was going a little bit better and polish blocked worked, but France was more effective anyway. Finally, guest won this match 3:0.
