Piotr Makowski took over as a new head coach of women’s national team of Poland.

It has been discussed for a long time, but now it’s official. Miroslaw Przedpelski, the president of the Polish Volleyball Federation, confirmed that Piotr Makowski is about to replace Alojzy Swiderek.

Makowski has been working with Delecta Bydgoszcz for the last year, so he could not really talk about the matter of this new job. But now, when PlusLiga is over, we’ve came to know officially, that he will be working with women’s national team again.

Last time he was an assistant for Jerzy Matlak in 2009. He also had a chance to lead the team as the first head coach due to Matlak’s absence during European Championships.
