You don’t know what to do in summer? You play volleyball? You want to have fun and meet new people? If you answered 3xYES, this idea might be for you! Check it out!
Marco Meoni – I believe this volleyball player doesn’t have to be introduced. He is known for taking many different initiatives (to remind his short youtube movies presenting the life of the Italian national team during the World League in 2008). In 2010 he came up with an idea to organize in summer a mini-tournament for volleyball-lovers played on the grass called TorMeo. After a success met last two years and a big interest (last year on TorMeo showed up 67 squads with 307 athletes), this year on July, 21st-22nd he organizes the 3rd edition of TorMeo and he wants it bigger!
The event if for teams of 4 people, composed by 2 men and 2 women. It will take place in Porto Recanati, Italy, the localization close to the sea, near Macerata. It last one weekend, on Friday and Saturday night there are two parties with music and fun. During the tournament there is a possibility to meet professional volleyball players, like Alberto Cisolla, Wout Wijsmans, Lorenzo Smerilli, Michal Lasko or Andrea Bari. Those who come can sleep in the hotel or go camping on the field free and use all the facilities (like shower and locker rooms) of the complex.
