Sixteen teams qualified from the 1st round of World Championship 2006 in Japan into two pools. One of the pool will be played in Sendai and the second in Hirosima from 25th – 29th November. Two best teams from each 2nd round pool will play semifinals, 3rd – 6th teams will fight for 5th – 12th place.

 

 

There is no big surprise in qualified teams. All the favourite teams made their job. Best positions for the next round has Serbia Montenegro, Poland and Bulgaria. These teams did not lose one game in the 1st round pools. Last World Championship winner Brazil lost one game in a pool against France which can mean a lot in a 2nd round pool.

Pool F teams: Bulgaria, Brazil, Italy, France, Germany, U.S.A., Czech Republic, Cuba
