A Cuban outside – hitter, Henry Bell, will sign a contract with Galatasaray Yurtiçi Kargo Istanbul. Bell is going to join the fourth club of the Turkish League as soon as it is possible.

It is extremely astonishing news because Bell was announced to end up his professional career in October, however, it seems to be only a pretext to leave Cuba without any unpleasant consequences, so that, not to be suspended by FIVB or even not to be jailed by Cuban secret service.

Henry Bell has been already presented the Galatasaray player one year ago but he finally did not come out in the black and yellow t-shirt. This time, his arrival is almost sure.

Although still missing the official statement of the company, everyone expects the arrival of strong Cuban spiker Henry Bell (class ’82) to Galatasaray Istanbul.

The now Cuban ex-national is expected to arrive to Turkey this week and will be a valuable reinforcement especially in the Challenge Cup. Beside Henry Bell for the Galatasaray play other foreigners, as well as: Vladimir Nikolov, Teodor Salparov and Bojan Janic.

Galatasaray will be the premier foreign team for the experienced player. Bell previously represented the jersey of Santiago de Cuba. Along with his national team, he won the silver medal of the 2010 Volleyball World Championships in Italy. Moreover, Bell collected two World League bronze medals (2005, 2012).
