World League 2009 is ready to kick-off. The winner of World League 2008, team of USA, will miss the key player L. Ball who terminate his national team career.
World League 2009 has not one real favourite. USA and Brazil basic six are not the same as previous year. Ryan Millar and Reid Priddy are not in the composition of U.S. national team together with L. Ball. The team of Serbia, World League 2008 silver medalist, remain the same. N. Grbic with I. Milkovic will make the result of Serbian national team. Serbia has an advantage of participation in Final Six tournament in Beograd due to organization of World League Final Six. Russia under command of the new head coach D. Bangoli will not be weaker. Most succesfull team in last years of World League Brazil has big changes in the team – Dante, Gustavo, Heller, Andre are missing. Still Giba and his teammates can make great result in World League 2009
Argentina and Netherlands are the new teams in World League 2009. Argentina will play with the young team. Almost thirteen years to the day after the Dutch National Team reached the highest peak in its history, the team returns to the scene of its memorable victory hoping history will repeat itself.
