At the beginning of the new year FIVB released the order of events for the 2012 season. During the Olympic summer the beach volleyball mohicans will travel through continents for 9 Grand Slam and 5 Open events for a total of 14 tournaments scheduled between April and October. The nine Grand Slams are a new record for FIVB beating last year’s six. The most important arena, however, will be set in London between 28th July and 9th August when the Americans Dalhausser-Rogers have to defend their Olympic glory.

Interesting facts about the host cities, and countries respectively, reveal that Brazil has staged an event in the Swatch-FIVB World Tour every year since 1987. Also, it is worth mentioning the comeback of Berlin on the map for the first time after 2008.

So, mark your calendars for the events you plan to visit or stay tuned for the hottest actions with Laola1.tv.
