Polish champion scored another victory in the Champions League. This time they beat Remat Zalau. It was quite short, but not really beautiful game.

Despite of loosing in three sets, Remat has been a tough opponent to Asseco Resovia. Polish team had a bad day in reception and Zalau could lead their game wisely during the certain parts of the game. The hosts put a lot of pressure on Rzeszow, but guest had a strong will to win and after nervous finish of the third set, they “booked” three points.
The best scorer of Remat Zalau, Robinson Dvoranen, scored 16 points for his team. On the side of Asseco Resovia, the same number of points was provided by Nikola Kovacevic.

The Polish head coach of Remat, Mariusz Sordyl, stated after the match: “I am very happy that we played well. It was definitely a beautiful match and I want to thank our players for the responsible way they played”.

The head coach of Asseco Resovia Rzeszow, Andrzej Kowal, was impressed by the evolution of the Romanian team, and said: “It was a difficult match for us, taking into consideration our previous confrontation. We came here to win and to secure our second place in Pool G. Remat played well today even though they used a different libero”.
