After the break, Dinamo gained few points lead and constantly controlled the game course mainly by powerful serve and successful blocks. What is more, neither Osmany Juantorena (only 3 points) nor Matey Kaziysky (0% of efficiency in attack) were not able help Trentino. The first set was really ‘Bartosz Kurek’s show’. The Polish receiver, who is backing after an injury break, scored 7 points having wonderful effectiveness rate – 86%.

In the second set, Dinamo Moscow took control from the beginning. A Russian opposite, Pavel Kruglov joined Kurek as a ‘top gun’ in attack having got the lead (8-6). Trentino did not improve their play, therefore, Russians still were increasing their advantage (16-13). While Dinamo was leading 19-14, it seemed the set to be resolved but Trentino started to got closer to Dinamo in the decisive phase of the set (24-23), but Jan Stokr missed an attack and finished the game.

Trentino then got back on track claiming the next two sets. Bartosz Kurek lost his physical forces and stopped to be efficient and the upcoming tie-break’s future seemed to not colorful. Moreover, Matey Kaziyski improved his play compared to the previous sets as well as Juantorena. Dinamo’s head coach Yuri Cherednik opting to use his second lines for the late stages of the fourth set as he wanted to rest his standouts for the tie-break.

The last set started similarly to the first two. The Russians gained an advantage which sought to control. Dinamo Moscow showed great quality and composure to set the pace in the fifth set by the time teams changed sides of the court (8:6) and by reducing their errors to a minimum, the home heroes cruised to a well-deserved 3:2 win (15-12).

Pavel Kruglov top scored in the end with 27 points and 54% of efficiency but it was a very good team performance for Dinamo that was well orchestrated by setter Sergey Grankin.
