In 9 days starts women’s equivalent of WL. This time we’ll see 20 teams playing during 3 weekends in 15 pools. Best 5 teams throughout intercontinental round will play together with Japan in Sapporo from 28th August to 1st September.
Between 2nd and 18th August intercontinental round will be played. In first weekend the most interesting will be pool A in Campinas, where Brazil, USA, Russia and Poland will play. For second weekend good choice is Yekaterinburg. There Russia will play with Italy, Thailand and Cuba. In third weekend the pools are more equal, in my opinion pool O in Kaohsiung (Chinese Taipei) can bring huge emotions. There we’ll see Italy, Turkey, Algeria and Dominican Republic.
Now without knowing rosters it’s hard to predict who’ll play in finals. Brazil, Italy, China, Russia and USA can be top 5 teams this time. Turkey, Serbia, Germany and Thailand can also fight for a place. Interesting can be also performance of Netherlands, Poland or Czech Republic.
