We are turning a new page – season 2014-2015 is officially over and as we are taking a glimpse over to see how the new year will look like, a lot of question marks are hanging over the controversial activity of the French Federation.

Hard decisions to be taken as Hainaut Volley was forced to quit the landscape of LAF for the upcoming season. Due to financial problems, the CACCP (Comission d’Aide et de Cotrôle des Clubs Professionnels) officially confirmed ‘the downgrade’ pf Hainaut Volley Club to a lower division after the team managed to save itself and to maintain a promising position for 2015-2016. Therefore, after further investigations, St-Raphaël’s demand to compete one more season in the first French league was officially confirmed by the FFVB. Let’s have a look and see how the the new Ligue A will look like:

Béziers

Mulhouse

SF Paris St-Cloud

Chamaliéres

Nantes

Terville Florange

Istres

RC Cannes

Vandoeuvre

Le Cannet

Saint-Raphaël

Venelles

Now that the final draws are officially over, buzz has never stopped that two French teams will compete for the 8th finals. The games are  scheduled for 27-29 October and 10-12 November: SF Paris St-Cloud will face the Finnish team LP Kangasala, while VB Nantes is due to meet the strong Ukrainean team Khimik Yuzhny. If both teams manage to strike victories, they will meet each other in a so dreamt French duel for the 8th of finals of CEV Cup.

Béziers, on the other hand, will face the unpredictable Swiss team of VFM Franches-Montagnes.
