Direct Sports, Inc., a family-owned and -operated baseball and softball equipment supplier, has recently launched a new product division for volleyball players, dubbed Volleyball Direct. This new volleyball division comes amidst Direct Sports’ 30th anniversary in business. Volleyball Direct will be an e-commerce volleyball product brand with products for both teams and individual players.

The new volleyball division will host an array of products on their e-commerce store including volleyballs, apparel, equipment, and team goods. Well-known, industry-best brands such as Mizuno, Molten, Wilson, Champro, Mikasa, Nike, Under Armour and Adidas will be available to players. “We have relationships with all the major brands that participate in the volleyball market,” mentioned Jill Ballard, buyer for Direct Sports and Volleyball Direct.  “Just as we do with baseball/softball, our plan is to offer a wide selection of gear for any level of player.” Volleyball Direct will host product for all skill levels from beginners to experts.

The decision to expand into an additional product category comes at a pivotal point in Direct Sports’ history. Up until now, Direct Sports has only provided baseball and softball equipment. Adding Volleyball to their product category allows Direct Sports to now make an impact in fall sports by inspiring a whole new generation of sports enthusiasts. “Over the years, we have filled volleyball orders/requests on a limited basis to select schools and recreation departments, so in turn we have learned a great deal about the sport,” said Andrew Wagner, president of Direct Sports. “We feel like it is a natural fit for us and the timing is right since it’s our 30th anniversary year.”
