Polish fans got a little disappointed for the beginning of the international season. Brazil won the game 3:1 with fantastic Vissotto.

First set

For the beginning both setters activated their middle blockers, but Brazil got their advantage (6:2). After the first technical time out, Poland was able to work out a tie and even go ahead their rivals (7:9, 11:9). Marcin Mozdzonek helped with his block. Poles were a leader on the second TTO, but Brazil got to them quickly (17:17, 20:20). Felipe Fonteles showed up on service. On the other site Dawid Konarski experienced his debut in the World League. Polish captain, Marcin Mozdzonek, broke an attack and it was over: 22:25.

Second set

Brazilian team began the second set a little better than the hosts – 6:4. Poles scored with block. The game was a little bit hectic for a while. Leandro Vissotto gave his team a lead for the first TTO of this part. After that, Bernardi’s team carried on the efficient attack and the strong service (7:10). Anastasi asked for a break. In this part we had a lot of extended actions. Eder killed from the middle and Dante made a mistake (12:14). Bruno repeated his set for Eder. After the second TTO, Bartman scored an ace and Poland got close to it’s opponent. Two Polish mistakes built a safe buffer for Brazil. Lukas closed the second set from the middle.

Third set

Canarinhos didn’t give up their good quality. 3:0 at the beginning of the third set and Andrea Anastasi interrupted the game. Vissotto was stopped by Polish block. Hosts led the game to the tie (6:6), but Brazil didn’t let it last too long. Brazilian opposite was blocked again and Poland took a lead in this match. Bartosz Kurek had a series on the service. Bartman scored from the wing and it was 13:10. After a few minutes of Polish leading, Brazil got a tie (18:18). Andrzej Wrona replaced Piotr Nowakowski and immediately blocked Brazilian attack. Canarinhos were stopped a few more times and Poland win the first set in this edition of the World League.

Fourth set

Fourth set started with the lead of Brazil (4:1). Poles became quite helpless in defence. A few moments later it was 5:10 and Lucas on service. Bartman and others have been blocked many times. Fabian Drzyzga replaced Lukasz Zygadlo and Dawid Konarski was put instead of Bartman, but it was a little too late (9:17). Lucarelli closed the game with an attack (15:25) and Brazil earned 3 points for the beginning of this season.
