One way to make money in volleyball is to join affiliate programs. You can make a dollar or even tens of dollars from a single sale. I am going to take a look at three volleyball affiliate programs in this video. We’ll also do the math on how many sales you need for each affiliate program to make $1,000.

First, let’s talk a little theory on affiliate programs. Affiliate marketing is an advertising model in which a company compensates third-party publishers to generate traffic or leads to the company’s products and services. The third-party publishers are affiliates, and the commission fee motivate them to find ways to promote the company’s products and services.

There are many affiliate programs on the Internet. If you search for how to make money with affiliate program on YouTube, you will find plenty of videos that describe affiliate programs.

You can become an affiliate and promote Wix, Shopify, Fiverr or many other services. If we’re talking about volleyball, you’ll find companies that offer affiliate programs in our sport as well. Well, there are three affiliate programs I want to focus on today.

I’m not going to detail the process and rules of how each affiliate program works in this video. Rather, I’ll focus on the benefits to you, what % of sales you can expect. And also how much you can earn per sale with the volleyball affiliate program or how many sales you need to make to earn $1000.

What are the benefits of affiliate programs?

The biggest advantage of affiliate programs is that it can be another source of income for you. A source of income that doesn’t require you to spend 8 hours in front of a computer every day. With affiliate marketing, you aren’t required to quit from your job. At least not if you don’t want to.

You can just use it as a side project and see how much you can earn overtime. It is a passive source of income. For some, it can be a lucrative source of income in the thousands of dollars per month. It also has the advantage of costing nothing to join an affiliate program.

You don’t have to pay a dollar to start earning. Just like most passive income opportunities, affiliate marketing lets you work when you want to, if you want to. You’re free to work in a flexible schedule and environment of your own choosing.

You don’t even have to worry about any after-sales customer concerns. You can just conveniently pass it on to the merchant’s own customer support team.

Another advantage is that you don’t need any special education, as is the case with coaches. Also, you don’t need to spent thousands of hours of training and be an excellent volleyball player to get a professional contract. Simply, the affiliate program is suitable for most volleyball players.

How affiliate programs work?

First, you sign up for an affiliate program. From the affiliate program you get a unique url or banner. You put this link or banner in your blog or add it to a social media post. Once someone clicks on your link, they will be redirected to the store’s site. If that customer makes a purchase, the affiliate program will record that purchase and you will be entitled to a percentage of the sale. Then you just wait for the payment to your account, which can be made immediately after the purchase or after a certain period of time.

It depends on the rules of the affiliate program. For you, it meant a few minutes of work to insert the link. Even one link can then generate you a long term passive income.

How much affiliate commission on sales can you expect?

Here the situation is mixed. You will find affiliate programs that will offer you a few percent of sales. As a standard, if we are talking about volleyball affiliate programs, expect 2% to 10% of sales. Or there are also affiliate programs that will share a large portion of the sales revenue with you, and one sale can mean several tens of dollars for you.

amazon affiliate program

Amazon

The most well-known affiliate program with the longest history is the Amazon associates program. Amazon is the largest online retailer, with over 300 million people shopping there. Also, its affiliate program is used by a lot of bloggers, youtubers and other people.
But don’t expect Amazon to share large part of its revenue with you. Amazon is the biggest store, so it wants the biggest revenue. On the other hand, Amazon can’t sell all products more expensively than its competitors. So, expect to get a few percent of sales from Amazon. That few percent, however, can mean a fair amount of revenue. For example, I use the Amazon affiliate program at VolleyCountry, where I link to volleyballs on Amazon.

Let’s use an example to illustrate how much you can make on Amazon from single sale. You’re on VolleyCountry, you click on the Molten indoor volleyball link. You’re immediately taken to the Amazon site, where you’ll see that this volleyball from Molten sells (currently) for $55.50. When you look at the Standard Commissions Income Rates page for specific product categories you will see that the affiliate receives a 3% affiliate commission on sales for purchasing sports equipment.

If you as a customer buy this ball, you pay to Amazon. VolleyCountry will receive three percent of your purchase, or $1.66. If you want to make $1,000 as an affiliate on Amazon from selling volleyball equipment that costs between $50 and $150, you need to drive thousands of people to the Amazon site, who must purchase at least 600 Molten balls to generate $1,000 in affiliate commissions.

all volleyball affiliate program

All Volleyball

The second volleyball affiliate program I want to mention is the All Volleyball affiliate program. All Volleyball is an established online store offering hundreds of volleyball items. It is one of the few stores that is primarily focused on volleyball. All Volleyball offers 10% off sales through its affiliate program. So if you want to have links to volleyball gear from All Volleyball on your blog or on your social media posts, you can sign up for their affiliate program.Expect All Volleyball to send you money after you have more than $75 worth of commissions in your account.

Let’s go over the 1000 dollars example again…
You’re already an affiliate of All Volleyball, you’ve put a link to the same Molten ball to your Facebook post as you did with Amazon.A potential customer clicks on your link. Clicking on the link takes him to the product page on All Volleyball. He will see that the ball from Molten sells (currently) for forty-eight dollars and ninety-five cents. Because he likes the ball, he orders it and pays for it. All Volleyball collects the full amount and credits 10% affiliate commission to your account. You can celebrate, you just made four dollars and ninety cents on this sale.

At All Volleyball, the situation is better if your goal is to earn $1000 as an affiliate. Here you get to $1000 if your customers purchase 200 balls from Molten.

volleycountry affiliate program

VolleyCountry

Third volleyball affiliate program that I want to present to you is from us, VolleyCountry is a new player in the market. You won’t find hundreds of volleyball products at VolleyCountry. VolleyCountry primarily offers online education in the form of online volleyball courses from the world’s best coaches.

The affiliate program on VolleyCountry wants to be different, I would even say better and more appealing than other volleyball affiliate programs. That’s why at VolleyCountry you can get a minimum of 30% of online course sales. Yes, 30%. Imagine you are an affiliate and a customer who came from your unique link purchases the Volleyball Wall Drills online course. This course costs (currently) hundred ninety seven dollars, you as an affiliate will get 30%, that’s $59 and ten cents off one purchase. No other volleyball affiliate program will offer you that.

Again, let’s look at an thousand dollar example.
You put a banner on your social media profile with a link to the Volleyball Wall Drills online course. Friends and other people will see your post and one of them clicks on the link. He is redirected to the online course page. He or she carefully reads everything about the course, watches other YouTube videos, and decides to invest in the education and buy the course with 120 volleyball wall drills for one hundred and ninety-seven dollars.

The affiliate system will record this purchase and credit you 30% of the sale to your affiliate account. You will receive a notification of the new sale and you will see a plus fifty-nine dollars and ten cents from that sale in your affiliate account.

If your goal is still the same and you want to earn $1,000 through the affiliate program, then you only need less than 17 sales on VolleyCountry and your goal and passive income of $1,000 is met.

So if you want to make $1,000 through these three affiliate programs, in Amazon’s case you have to sell 600 volleyballs. 200 Molten balls means $1,000 on All Volleyball. And 17 online courses sold on VolleyCountry will also bring you $1,000.

You can see that, as with other affiliate programs, the terms and potential profits from each volleyball affiliate program vary. It’s up to you which one you choose.

To summarize, volleyball affiliate programs are suitable for most volleyball players and can generate passive income for most volleyball players. Passive income that can be minor in nature, or passive income that can become significant income for you.
