What will happen this week in FIVB World League? This weekend Montenegro, Mexico and Kazakhstan will be on fire as these countries will be hosting the competition in Group 3. In the upcoming four weeks twelve teams will fight to see who will be reigning this this group.
“Montenegro will make their bow in the tournament in Pool F with Turkey, Puerto Rico and Tunisia. Greece return for the first time in a decade in Pool G and will face Mexico, Slovakia and China while Egypt are also back after a five-year absence in Pool H along with debutants Kazakhstan and Japan and Spain”.(*FIVB)
The participant countries are divided into three groups. Montenegro, Puerto Rico, Tunisia and Turkey form group F. China, Greece, Mexico & Slovakia will play in group G and Egypt, Spain, Kazakhstan and Venezuela will fight in group H.
Meanwhile the the competition in Group 2 continues as Canada (14 points), France (12 points) and Belgium (14 points) have the leadership in their respective pools.
By Sunday we will have a better idea of this group as Canada meet Bulgaria, France will try to get everything from Czech Republic and Belgium will give their best while trying to erase Portugal dreams. Bulgaria, who will be hosting the finals in Group 2, will play for pride as they are already classified. This is why we expect the other battles on the volleyball field to be more interesting because of the factor : “Who is going the Sofia?” (Sofia – capital city of Bulgaria).
In Group 1, last weekend USA, Poland and Brazil maintained their place respectively in their pools. Italy lost one match vs. Serbia but truth is volleyball supporters witnessed some amazing volleyball plays.
For this weekend USA will meet a great challenge because they receive Poland. Brazil visit Serbia, so we could also expect interesting matches. Also a good game for staying alive between Russia and Iran may keep the interest of volleyball fans.
Predictions: Russia over Iran, Brazil and Serbia 1-1, Italy will crush Australia. For USA against Poland, I flip a coin for head or tale and…
