N’Gapeth: Club career

In March 2018, it was revealed that N’Gapeth had signed a two-year contract with Zenit Kazan. The transfer saw Zenit Kazan part ways with Wilfredo Leon, the highest paid volleyball player in the world, according to stats in 2017. Leon joined Italy’s Sir Sicoma Colussi Perugia to make room for N’Gapeth and his salary.
The Frenchman was the world’s second highest paid volleyball player behind Leon at $1.35 million a season. Despite being the salary of a mediocre NBA player, it is similar to the average pay a French footballer at one of Ligue 1’s top five highest paying clubs. The mainstream media may overlook men’s club volleyball, but N’Gapeth is a major superstar in the sports world; and his salary exhibits his star potential.
