As in the previous week, in group D of Champions League, both matches ended the result 3:0. Lube Banca Marche Macerata defeated again Generali Unterhaching and ACH Volley Ljubljana was better than Euphony Asse-Lennik.

Only the first set between Lube and Generali was able to please the fans. Both teams fought for every ball and score to end hovered around the tie. In the end, champions of Italy were slightly better and this was the end of a good game Unterhaching.

In the next two sets Macerata hadn’t any resistance on the Germans side. For champions of Italy the match was walk, but did not take the match leniently. Coach Giuliani nominated to play his strongest composition, who showed how big difference is between German and Italian teams.

Macerata hadn’t one of the leaders, the strength of the team in the match against Unterhaching was collectivity. All players put a lot of work to victory.

In German team John Snippe scored 11 points, but his effectiveness in attack was not high. It wasn’t good match for Cristian Duennes, who scored seven times, with 28% efficiency.

Lube Banca Marche Macerata – Generali Unterhaching 3:0 (25:23, 25:15, 25:20)

For Ljubljana game against Euphony was easy, simple and enjoyable. ACH Volley started the match perfectly (1:8), and later they only maintained their advantage, not allowing opponents to reduce the distance. As quickly, ACH Volley got the better of Asse-Lennik in two consecutive sets.

The one-sidedness of the duel may indicate that Euphony in any set did not exceed the barrier of 20 points! It was a rout.

Uros Kovacevic, as always, was the main „gun” team from Ljubljana. The young Serb can boast 22 points gained in the match. Kovacevic had support in other players – Flajs and Sidibie, who have won respectively 12 and 11 points. This match was terrible in performance of Euphony. Despite the many changes made by the coach Euphony, team picture of the game did not change.
