The third round of the Champions League in group D was extremely fast. Both matches between Macerata & Generali and Asse Lennik & Ljubljana ended in three sets.
Lube Banca Marche Macerata in this edition of Champions League play excellent. However, the truth is that the champions of Italy aren’t in too demanding group. On Wednesday, they showed their strength in match with Generali Unterhaching.
Lube Banca has problems with outside hitters. Injured are Cristian Savani and Jiri Kovar. This issue didn’t disturb Lube to defeat Generali in three sets. First and third sets were completely dominated by Macerata, in the second set both teams presented good volleyball, but at the end Lube was smiling.
In Macerata Parodi, Zaytsev and Starovic presented themselves very well. All three attacked on high, more than 60% effectiveness! The leader of Generali was Christian Dunnes, but he hadn’t support of teammates.

Ljubljana also didn’t has any problems to overcome Euphony Asse-Lennik. The biggest difference that separated the two teams was an attack. Ljubljana, acquitted itself well in this element, as opposed to Euphony, which had big problems with the finish of the action.
It was not a thrilling match. From the first to the last set dominated ACH Volley Ljubljana, which in easy way got three points to group table.
Perfect match played 19-year-old Serbian, Uros Kovacevic, who in such young age is important player team from Ljubljana. In this match Kovacevic scored 22 points and attacked on 68% efficiency! He was unstoppable.
The team Euphony lacked player, who could take the weight of the game on his shoulders.
