Tom Hoff talk about the argentine´s chances in the FIVB World League 2010 and he said that the national team has a great advantage in the tournament to break in to some of the ranks of the top teams.
“Obviously having the final round in Argentina eases so of the pressure to push their team to get wins to qualify for the playoffs. Argentina will have a great advantage in having much more time to solely focus on playing good volleyball for the playoffs”, said the two times FIVB WL winner.
For the Olympic gold medal 2008 player, to play the Final Six at home is another extra benefit: “Another great advantage is playing in front of their home crowd, who is always extremely supportive and very knowledgable VB fans. The atmosphere will be terrific for the home team to make some huge strides to compete with the top teams in the world”.
Argentine´s National Team played previous weekend in La Habanna, against Cuba opening the World League Pool A. This weekend Argentina host Poland. Two weeks ago Argentina won a friendly match over Bulgaria (5th FIVB ranked). It is not a surprise for Hoff: “Argentina seems to always be a well coached, good ball control, fast tempo style of a team. Those assets will serve the well to break in to some of the ranks of the top teams”.
