One of the most versatile female volleyball player in Europe, Malgorzata Glinka-Mogentale, says goodbye to Vakifbank Istanbul. The brand new Turkey’s Champion has already found a new but old player to complete the freshly creating gap.
Malgorzata Glinka-Mogentale has been playing in Istanbul for three last season winning everything that could have been overcome. She claimed the CEV Champions League along with Vakifbank twice in 2011 and 2013. Two years ago, Glinka was selected the most valuable player of the Final tournament while this year, she noted the best percentage score in attack from all of receivers in the final. Moreover, Malgorzata hung the golden medal of Turkey’s Championships on her neck last weekend.
Maggie is already 34 years old and would like to return Poland in order to be closer to her family. Obviously, she would be titbit for Poland’s clubs (Glinka was tempted by Atom Trefl Sopot year ago), however, it is not explained if Glinka is going to continue her sports career or maybe she will sacrifice herself to her loved ones.
As Giovanni Guidetti (Vakifbank’s head-coach) had expected such a decision of the Polish star, he is willing to employ Jelena Nikolic, who returns to volleyball and Vakifbank Istanbul after a break related to maternity leave, and the Serbian receiver will replace Malgorzata Glinak-Mogentale.
