A popular cinema, emotions like in Alfred Hitchcock’s movie and volleyball beauty starring – in that conditions, Impel Wroclaw presented a brand-new signing and one of the most famous female player worldwide – Katarzyna Skowronska – Dolata. „Why should I travel the world, if I have all what I need right here!”, she said.
‘We have signed Robert Lewandowski (soccer star) of volleyball’, Grzegorz Dzik, an active member of Impel Wroclaw declared. That statement should not be astonishing because Impel line-up was strengthened by one of the best opposite of the last decennary – Katarzyna Skowronska – Dolata!
The noble Pole re-enters her homeland after 10-years stay in strongest leagues of the world, topped out at many championships titles and numerous individual awards, however, as she claimed, ‘Kasia’ came Wroclaw not to hang up her spikes, but in order to be in running for winning gold in Polish Orlen League and she is going to make it in green-and-white jersey of Impel Wrocław. – ‘It ashamed me to admit but I have never picked up any trophy in Poland yet’, summed up Skowronska, who has championships of Turkey, Italy, China, and Azerbaijan on her credit, as well as European Champions League medals and Club World Championship gold.

If someone builds to me marvelous conditions to move on, to reach a new high, to share my experiences, and what’s more, it could take place in Poland, so why should I wander around Europe or the world? I think the offer I received was very good, but the most appealing one came from Wroclaw and here I am.’
Skowronska spent the last two years in Azerbaijan and cannot hide that life by the Caspian Sea is not eays. – “I missed my family and friends. I have been feeling longing and luck of family life, which was always vital for me, that is why I wanted to get back to Poland. Wroclaw is a place, where I will be definitely feeling well. I have been playing abroad for over ten years. Impel has created such conditions to me that I do not have to leave and be away from loved ones, “she added.
Having lost bronze medal series in Orlen League, Impel Wroclaw did not secured to apply for the CEV Champions League ‘wild card’. ‘Kasia’ is aware of the fact, but she will not be disappointed, if the new club is not invited to participate in these prestigious competitions. – ‘Champions League has my best interest at my heart. I’d be happy, if I could play there once again. If not? The project that was presented to me in Wroclaw is very ambitious, and so I’m coming in it. Moreover, I have had reached agreement with Impel after the end of the fight for the bronze medal.’
Impel Wroclaw has employed a new coach. Tore Aleksandersen, who led the team from the lower Silesia to the Polish Championships silver medal a year ago, has been replaced by the well-known in Poland, an Italian Nicola Negro. Katarzyna Skowronska – Dolata is content with the pick and she can’t wait to launch cooperation with the former Imoco Conegliano coach. – ‘I know Nicola Negro very well. I have never been working with him as the first trainer but I am sensible of his craftsmanship and I know his strengths. I think that Impel made a very good choice and methods as Nikola doing his job, plus good atmosphere, but also discipline, since it is also necessary, are going to bring the desired outcomes.’
News about moving Katarzyna Skowronska–Dolata to Wroclaw aroused a true sensation in Poland. Many famous people, including the Mayor of the City, congratulated Impel the spectacular transfer, while the club’s social medias went crazy – the highest activity was recorded in the history of various users. Thus, one can already say that bringing a beautiful Polish player (coincidentally, at one time Skowronska was elected Miss of Serie A) is the perfect marketing ploy. This is just the beginning, because Impel is planning further line-up changes.
